Embracing New Paces and Places

In the hustle and bustle of our modern lives, it's easy to lose sight of the things that truly matter. I know my attention can often be divided among countless responsibilities and tasks, leaving little room for reflection and connection. It's during these moments that the significance of changing both pace and place becomes abundantly necessary.

Romans 1:20 - “Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature.”

Ever wonder why sitting and looking at a body of water, or gazing at the mountains, or laying back looking at the night sky is so relaxing? It triggers something inside of us that was put there by God!

Nature itself offers a timeless lesson in recognizing the nearness of God’s beauty all around us. Stepping away from the daily grind and retreating to a different environment can offer a much-needed recharge for our souls. Whether it's a quiet cabin in the woods, a serene beachfront, a tranquil mountain hideaway, or even that rocking chair on your back patio, it is so important to find your place; somewhere that allows you to reconnect and recharge in the presence of God.

Lamentations 3:25 - “The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”

In the midst of our busy lives, it's easy to forget that the Creator designed us not only to work and achieve but also to rest and reflect. Changing pace means slowing down, allowing ourselves the space to breathe, and finding solace in the silence. When we set aside the constant noise of our routines, we can hear the gentle whispers of divine guidance that often go unnoticed in the chaos.

Moreover, altering our physical surroundings can lead to a fresh perspective on life. Some of my best ideas come when I am sitting on my front porch! The shift in scenery allows us to see our circumstances from a different angle, opening our hearts and minds to new insights and solutions.

When we intentionally choose to change pace and place, we prioritize our relationship with God and the things that truly matter. It's not about running away from responsibilities, but rather about embracing a balance that allows us to intentionally connect with God and align ourselves with His pace.
